Inspiration behind our new range and some exciting news…

As you may have seen on our Facebook and Twitter accounts, we’ve been getting our Autumn/Winter range ready and we thought we’d explain a little bit behind our inspiration and feelings you’ll see reflected in the pieces.

At Longsands we’re all about sticking with adventure – as that’s what we’re about; getting the adventure started. We felt that by using deep colours and simple designs, we’d be synonymous with the cold, harsh weather coming in soon.

Of course, there is the traditional Longsands twist, and we do have some cheeky pieces with splashes of colour which we’re using to reflect the quirky character of the North East. This means all our pieces are easily paired together and many different looks can be created in the depths of winter.

Growing up on the coast, we’re accustomed to ‘layering up’ but we didn’t want our customers to feel as bulky as we did when wearing a tshirt, jumper and coat to school (thanks mam…). So we’ve created a range that will keep you warm and comfortable.

Now onto the exciting news! We’re opening a boutique on ASOS Marketplace where you’ll be able to browse our adventurous and original Longsands gear.

We’re also looking into opening a whole new store in the heart of Newcastle while growing our online presence – let’s bring a touch of Longsands to the rest of the world!
