We're Back! Longsands Returns to the Living North Christmas Fair After Six Years

Six years away, a brand new look, exclusive Christmas deals and one of our favourite North East shopping events. We're heading back to the Living North Christmas Fair this October, and we can't wait.

It's been six years since we last packed up the Longsands stand and headed to the Living North Christmas Fair. A lot has happened since then. Our clothing has evolved, our collections have grown, and we've learned a thing or two along the way.

But one thing hasn't changed. We still love getting out there, meeting our customers face to face and being part of events that celebrate brilliant independent businesses from across the North East.

So we're delighted to announce that Longsands will be exhibiting at the Living North Christmas Fair 2026, taking place at Newcastle Racecourse from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th October.

And we're bringing something a little different this time.

A North East Christmas Tradition

If you've never been to the Living North Christmas Fair, you're missing out on one of the region's best Christmas shopping experiences.

Organised by Living North, the North East lifestyle magazine, the fair has become a firm favourite in the local calendar, bringing together independent retailers, artisan producers, designers and makers for four days of festive shopping.

In fact, this year marks 20 years of the Living North Christmas Fair, which is quite an achievement and a testament to just how popular the event has become.

What makes it special is the variety. With more than 200 carefully selected exhibitors, you'll find everything from handmade jewellery, homeware and Christmas decorations to independent clothing brands, original artwork and gifts you simply won't find on the high street.

Then there's the food.

The Living North Food Halls are packed with independent producers offering everything from artisan cheeses and chocolates to baked goods, preserves and locally produced drinks. There's also a programme of live chef demonstrations throughout the weekend.

It's the kind of place where you can arrive with a Christmas shopping list, spend a few hours wandering around, discover a load of brilliant local businesses and leave with a few presents you hadn't planned on buying.

And probably something for yourself, too.

For us, that's what makes events like this so important. They're a chance to support the independent businesses, creative people and local producers that make the North East such a great place to live and work.

Longsands Is Back After Six Years

We last exhibited at Living North six years ago, so returning in 2026 feels like a bit of a milestone.

Longsands has been through plenty of changes in that time. We've experimented, made mistakes, developed new products and continued building a clothing brand inspired by the coast, the outdoors and the lifestyle we love.

Our collections today look quite different from the ones we were selling six years ago.

We've put more focus on everyday comfort, relaxed fits, practical outerwear and clothing that works just as well on a cold North East beach as it does heading into town.

We're really looking forward to showing everyone what we've been working on.

A Brand New Longsands Stall

We're not simply dusting off our old exhibition stand.

For this year's fair, we're creating a completely new Longsands stall setup that we've never used before.

We wanted to do something that feels more like Longsands today. Something that brings a little bit of our brand's personality to Newcastle Racecourse and gives visitors a proper feel for our clothing and collections.

We're keeping the finished setup under wraps for now, but we're putting plenty of effort into making it something special.

You'll have to come along and see it for yourself.

When and Where Is the Living North Christmas Fair 2026?

The fair takes place at Newcastle Racecourse, High Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 5HP, across four days in October.

Opening times:

There's plenty of free parking available at the racecourse, making it easy to visit whether you're coming from Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland or further afield.

Children under 12 can attend for free, so you can bring the family along too.

Tickets are available directly through the Living North website.

• Early bird tickets: £7

• Tickets on the door: £9

• Concessions (over 60s): £6

• Children under 12: Free

Early bird tickets are available until midnight on Wednesday 21st October, with an additional booking fee for online purchases.
